The National Police Wellbeing Service (NPWS) has very kindly offered UNISON the opportunity to nominate up to 500 learners, to attend the ‘Human Leadership’ course. The course is aimed at all supervisors/managers as well as those aspiring to any form of leadership position. Details of the course, which is offered online by training provider Bailey and French are set out below.
This is a really exciting opportunity and UNISON is delighted to be able to work with the NPWS to roll out the course to police staff. Each police and justice branch is therefore invited to identify up to 12 members to take advantage of this offer.
The course is completed on line and participants can undertake the modules at their own pace.
The course aims to:
- Improve leader’s self-awareness through a deeper understanding of strengths, purpose and how to lead with authenticity.
- Build leader’s awareness of others by being more curious and appreciative without judgement and bias to build a truly inclusive culture.
- Teach leaders to role-model with intention and authenticity, remaining open to challenge and amplifying our inclusive behaviours.
- Strengthen relationships by building trust, psychological safety and connecting on a more human level with team and key stakeholders.
If you would like to be considered to undertake this training could you please email your interest to Unison@gloucestershire.police.uk by close of play on 29th June 2022
